The Provost Diversity Task Force will host an internal Diversity & Inclusion Summit during the Spring 2016 semester. The Summit will be a day-long event intended to engage the 19 USC Diversity & Inclusion Liaisons and key members of each school. The goal of this first summit will be to create meaningful and collaborative strategies to establish USC as a best practices academic institution for diversity and inclusion initiatives. Development of content for the Summit will begin the first week of January 2016.

Internal and external speakers will be invited to share insights and programs that have led to positive outcomes in diversity and inclusion on their campuses and corporations. Topics covered will include, but not limited to: establishing consistency of deliverables for each of the Liaisons; creating an inventory of the Diversity & Inclusion programs in each school; creating collaborations to maximize current best-practices to leverage throughout USC; identifying challenges and goals of each school; and analyzing successful strategies in other academic institutions.
